With the Super Bowl just around the corner, Travis Kelce revealed a new, very personal detail about life with his fiancée Taylor Swift — and it involves sourdough bread, a little weight gain, and a broken chair.
Yes. Really.
“I Broke Taylor’s Chair”
Kelce appeared on the podcast Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, hosted by Kylie Kelce, where he introduced himself with a laugh:
“Hi, I’m Travis Kelce — Kylie Kelce’s brother-in-law.”
Then came the confession.
“And I’m not gonna lie,” Kelce said. “I broke Taylor’s chair with the weight I gained from her sourdough.”
The moment quickly went viral, especially among fans already familiar with Swift’s now-famous baking era.
Despite the furniture casualty, Kelce made it clear there were no regrets. He joked that Swift’s homemade bread promotes “good gut health,” prompting Kylie to laugh and reply:
“That’s true love.”
Bread, Croissants, and No Shame
Kelce also admitted that Swift found the incident funny — and that the sourdough wasn’t the only culprit.
Before sitting down for the interview, he confessed to eating two almond croissants, casually adding to the legend of Swift’s kitchen skills.
When love is baked fresh, apparently, restraint is optional.
Taylor Swift’s Baking Era Is Real
Swift previously opened up about her baking obsession during an appearance on Kelce’s podcast New Heights in August 2025.
Describing her hobbies, Swift joked:
“All my hobbies could be categorized as hobbies you could have had in the 1700s… I get all my granny stuff.”
She revealed she cycles through baking phases every six months — but this one has gone next level.
“We’re very deep in a sourdough obsession that has taken over my life,” Swift said.
“I’m talking about bread 60 percent of the time now.”
Her creations reportedly include blueberry lemon, cinnamon swirl, and cinnamon raisin loaves.
Kelce’s response at the time?
“I am the luckiest man in the world.”
Swift’s Music, Kelce’s Moves
Kelce also made waves later that week at the “Tight Ends & Friends” party in San Francisco, hosted by Sports Illustrated and Tight End University.
Swift didn’t attend in person — but Kelce made sure her presence was felt.
He jumped behind the DJ booth as her song “The Fate of Ophelia” from “The Life of a Showgirl” played, danced along, scratched the turntable, and even recreated choreography from her music video.
Later, the DJ mixed Rihanna’s “We Found Love” with Swift’s “You Belong With Me.”
Kelce filmed himself singing and dancing with the crowd — fully in his fiancé era.
Ahead of the Super Bowl…
As Kelce prepares for the biggest game of the season, his confession offered fans a glimpse of something refreshingly normal: love, laughter, carbs, and a broken chair at home.
Championship pressure on the field.
Sourdough pressure in the kitchen.
Somehow, he’s winning both.
