With the offseason officially underway following Super Bowl LX, every NFL franchise is evaluating its future. For the Kansas City Chiefs, one question looms larger than the rest:
Will Travis Kelce return for Year 14?
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Chiefs have already reached out to their legendary tight end about coming back next season.
Kelce, an 11-time Pro Bowler, turned 36 this year — but he silenced any doubts in 2025 with a resurgent campaign that reminded everyone why he remains one of the best in the game.
Rapoport reports that Kelce hasn’t made a final decision yet. However, conversations between him and the organization are ongoing. The plan is to reconnect after the Super Bowl to finalize a path forward that works for both sides.
Recently appearing on Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, Kelce opened up about the whirlwind of the season and the uncertainty that follows.
“It’s been nuts, man, it’s been nuts,” Kelce said. “When you’re in it, everything happens so fast. Being able to step back this year… I’m still proud of the work we’ve done. Who knows if we can keep that thing going?”
The decision now rests with Kelce. The Chiefs believe they can contend for another Super Bowl in 2026 — and they’d love to make that run with their future Hall of Famer still leading the way.
Whether this is the final chapter or just another unforgettable season at Arrowhead, one thing is certain:
Kansas City isn’t ready to say goodbye.
