The Kansas City Chiefs could look to pull off a trade with the Minnesota Vikings to upgrade their wide receiver room this offseason.

Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine lists Vikings receiver Jordan Addison as a top trade target for the Chiefs.

Here is why Ballentine believes Minnesota should move on from Addison and send him to Kansas City:

“Minnesota could be looking to move on from Addison after he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor trespassing. The charges were later dropped, but he’s had multiple arrests since being drafted. He could get a fresh start in Kansas City. He would only account for a $2.6 million cap hit this season.

Addison possesss a ton of talent and is one of the most explosive young playmakers in football when on the field.

However, he’s had some off-the-field issues, and the Vikings could look to move on from him sooner than expected.

The Chiefs need to add more weapons to the offense this offseason, and though Addison’s issues off the field are concerning, taking a chance on him could pay dividends for Kansas City.

The 24-year-old was a touchdown machine during his first two seasons, scoring 19 total times. 2025 was a bit of a down year with just three touchdowns and 610 yards, but Addison has shown enough promise to warrant the Chiefs making a move for him.

Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes could be the tandem that can unlock the next level of Addison’s game. The USC product might just need a fresh start with a new franchise, and playing with Mahomes would highlight Addison’s explosiveness and game-breaking abilities.
