AITAH for wanting to block my older creepy friend, even though he has done A LOT for me?

So I have an older friend/mentor in his 60s, he’s very cool and married to an amazing artist I look up to. However recently I feel like he is crossing boundaries with me. He’s really nice and hooked me up with my job, among other things, but I don’t think I owe him anything.

For example, he takes ambien and one night texted me about how he feels a connection and if there is one we should explore it. I didn’t reply. He apologized.

He then has started to go to my favorite bar. I am in my late 20s, I find it creepy that he – a wealthy man in his 60s – is going to my artsy bar with my young friends on Fridays. I did also mention that he’s married.

I explained to him that approaching my 30s, I am focusing on going on dates and working hard so I can get married and provide for a child – which is a huge goal of mine. Despite that, he still texts me late at night “are you out?” almost 4 times a week, sometimes more. He’ll then ask me to hang out during the day, and if I don’t respond immediately he says “ok fine next time.” He also texted me the other night at my favorite bar yet again. When I told him I needed to set a boundary and did not want to be texted this much, he told me “ok goodnight stop texting me.” Like, what? As an introvert, I feel completely bombarded and suffocated. He keeps saying “I don’t want to force anything” when I have literally made it clear I am not interested like that. At this point I feel like I am going to snap. He is powerful and well connected but I do feel harassed at this point, despite all he has done for me.

AITAH for wanting to block him?
