According to league sources, the Chiefs have now addressed that issue by agreeing to terms with veteran defensive end Cameron Jordan, pairing the longtime New Orleans Saints standout with All-Pro interior force Chris Jones in a move aimed at revitalizing the defensive line.

Jordan, a 15-year NFL veteran, continues to defy expectations late in his career. At 36 years old, he still produced at a high level last season, recording 10.5 sacks, 15 tackles for loss, and 15 quarterback hits while playing just 54 percent of defensive snaps.

His arrival brings immediate credibility and experience to a defensive front that lacked a consistent edge presence. More importantly, it creates a complementary dynamic — with Jordan attacking from the outside and Jones collapsing the pocket from within.

Inside the building, the move is being viewed as a short-term but high-impact solution. While Jordan may not be a long-term piece, his production and leadership could be exactly what Kansas City needs to reset its defensive identity.

For Jordan, the decision marks a new chapter after spending his entire career in New Orleans. It also offers a clear opportunity — joining a contender with realistic Super Bowl aspirations.
